...elvis is back again...

ELVIS DELUXE
Warsaw, Poland
stoner rock/psychedelic/garage

In 2002 four long-time friends who had been involved in different
bands (mostly HC/post HC/rock stuff like Ahimsa, Coalition, Afraid of
That Day) started to jam together playing what they had a great
affection for their entire lives: ‘70s-influenced stoner rock.

In 2003 they recorded a demo which turned out to be pretty popular
among the slowly growing breed of their fans. Soon they became one of
the most active Warsaw bands, crossing all the genres and being
present at different types of shows from punk rock to rock’n’roll to
hardcore and rocking the nights out like crazy. Every once in a while
they hit the road to gig Poland, Lithuania, Germany, ending up in some
Czech clubs, making a nice soundtrack to bar fights there. Easy going
dudes took it easy. It took them a while to record their very first
full length, but when they did, it turned out to be really worth
waiting for. The record was called “Lazy” (2007) and well... it really
was. The title illustrated Elvis’ attitude towards the so-called
reality and their music.

The world rolled on, the boys played more gigs (sharing the stage
with, among others, Karma to Burn, Jucifer or Parkway Drive) and
finally there came the time to reveal what was going on in their
heads. On “Favourite State of Mind” the sound is full of space,
stylish and the non-obvious guitars are accompanied by multi-layered
vocals. Inspirations ranged from The Who, David Bowie, T. Rex to
Turbonegro and some more recent swampy stuff from the US. The band
employed unconventional recording techniques and sound experiments
that could give certain purists a nervous drool. Elvis Deluxe applies
a strong rock’n’roll punch to your jaw that will make you hear colours
and see the divine beauty of their music.

After the record was finished, the line-up changed slightly – Mechu
was replaced on guitar by Bert Trust. This old mate of Elvis’ used to
play in Warsaw stoner bands Castor Fiber and Oregano Chino, which
makes him a perfect fit for Elvis Deluxe in terms of fascination with
roots rock and dirty sound. The dudes have charisma and have the
skills and even though they’re taking it easy, they take it seriously.
The years of long going friendship and jamming together made them only
tighter and hungrier for good shows and the road adventures. They will
roll slow and if you stand on their way... well, you can be sure to
roll with them...

Elvis Deluxe is:
Bert Trust - guitar
Bolek - guitar
Miko - drums
Ziemba - bass/vocals

"Fast forward stoner rocking songs with great song ideas and really fuzzy tuned,
"Lazy" is a very colored album, acid punk meets psych and stoner....sometimes like Q.O.T.S.A or Fu Manchu. "Favourite State of Mind" have more psych and comes with big solos and really good songs...that's the album what i prefer, a band with a hopeful future."

...twins from outta space...

Phoenix/Arizona
Sludge/Stoner/Psych

Twin Giant: formed in the Spring of 2010 to fulfill the band members' desire to play loud-as-shit droney music. The band is currently getting shows booked , drinking, blowing out their eardrums, and saving up to record an EP.

Their own opinion:
"Songs about being accidentally shot out into space on a giant garbage barge because y'all was sleeping in a pile of garbage when the tractor beam picked y'all up by mistake."
I share this opinion, a bitchy dirty sound, doomy riffs, strange temps and awsome
psychy smooth parts shake your brains and let rotate your ears.
Enjoy TWIN GIANT and prey for a life gig in your country...i think live its incredible feeling...

..new vintage stereo rock...

LORD STEREO
Poland
vintage heavy rock

Lord Stereo's music can be described in three words:

VINTAGE - like the postcards and photos from the late sixties and
early seventies, full of melancholy and longing for the times of
rebellion and carelessness. With a psychedelic sound of Hammond organ
and a dirty, unruly guitar clatter in the background.
HEAVY - like a burden of sadness and anger that has accompanied us in
music for generations, like the intensity of emotions.
ROCK - because as a band we belong in a great music drawer of this
genre's numerous influences, where the Stooges are mixed with Black
Sabbath and early Led Zeppelin with the 1960s garage punk rock.

Natural eclecticism, stemming from the diverse characters and
inspirations of the band members, emotionality and simplicity are the
key features of Lord Stereo. The band is formed by people known from a
variety of alternative groups such as The Black Tapes, Oregano Chino,
Vavamuffin, Pablopavo i Ludziki, the Monsters from Switzerland, Poker
Face or Capital.

Lord Stereo is:
Leon RUDE PERCUSSION
Kazan SPACE TRASH GUITAR

...old known...

Italy
Stoner/Psych

T.H.U.M.B. is a stoner rock band born in the late nineties, with a pair of official release (Overloaded Rock’n’Roll – 2003, Lunar Flight – 2004) and many live shows, sometimes with great names of the international scene as Alabama Thunderpussy, Los Natas, Gorilla, Vic Du Monte’s Persona Non grata, Pater Nembrot, Ufomammut, Ojm, Sungrazer, Been Obscene.
The band has been involved also in some compilations like the first Desert Sound volume, Burn The Street Vol. V or the Scandinavian Crash Course From The Underground.
After a 5 years long absence the band has returned on the scene playing good gigs and having success at some great festival as in Pietrosonica, from which has been taken a live album available in free download from the web.
In these days the band is working to the new full length album, that will be out in March 2012.

...one inch man in sweden...

One Inch Giant, a band from Gotheburg, Sweden, finding inspirations in such fine acts as Black Sabbath, Alice In Chains, Kyuss, Mastodon and others.

You can hear this certain something right at the first song " Ripe And Bold".
In "Fur of the Lord" we can hear that bands like Kyuss & co have a big influence....but really great song. "Train of Lies" starts with a southern-riff and shines with a defined rafrain....clearly the catchiest piece of the band.
These guys keep up the mood, the whole fucking great album"Feed the Fire" is one of my favorite songs by One Inch Giant. Ingenious enhancement and screaming guitars, that's true stoner rock...yeah!!!

"Echoes of the night" comes with a lot of energy and really saturated sound, nice story and doomy and slow powerful drums.
"Treasures That Betray" the grande finale with 7 minutes of playing time. Big rollin' stoner rock with a surplus sludge on drums.
The album has a great replay value and make fun in your brains.

They have just released their  debut album "Malva" mastered by the legendary Peter In De Betou, which can be streamed at bandcamp

...because everyone would go to church...

Doom/Sludge
Ireland

Weed Priest - 3 piece band based in Galway and Ennis, Ireland. They like
to call their music occult stoner doom but they hope not to be definable
by a particular genre. I think its Doom/Sludge and a littlebit of Noise....that's the Stonerhead's Justice. They have been working on their original material for
over 2 years and now they started to be more active with gigging and
looking for a record label to sign with.

11 songs available for download on this nice links down the text. The Demo includes "Final Spell, Thy Kingdom Gone, Sky Daddy". The other 8 songs are the unreleased bonus tracks for free on my site...enjoy this sick Occult/Doomshit.

Peruvian band EL HIJO DE LA AURORA (means "Son Of The Dawn") was formed in Lima in May 2008. ...Groovemachine and Electropsych....

A fucking awesome night is no surprise when you see the lineup of friday (21.10) in the Q-West (Kufstein/Austria). "GRANDLOOM and SUNGRAZER"! For less than 10 euro you got a genius night in a not very big but cool location near the trainstation. After a few beers Grandloom started to show their real stage-force. When they played "Larry Fairy" the guys pretty much went crazy and held their performance till "All In". In one sentence : A nice gig!

After a break of two more beers it was time for Sungrazer to rock the place. At first it looked like the guys need some warm up time but after few riffs the headbanging began... Again. And it was a well played collection of old and new stuff that rocked the crowed and grooved the brains.. Again!

A perfect start in the weekend with two nice gigs and a lot of beer!

The pics I made are of course available for free download again and also other awesome links are waiting for you!

...the italians strike back...

 Beesus
Italy/Roma
Stoner/Psych
2011

Bio:
They started play toghether in 2009,their first demo went out in 2011 and today you can download this great peace of true stoner music.
They first joined one another because they all come from different bands and  would like to play toghether a new genre based on highness and loudness, also mixed with no forced ideas of style or shits like that: Pootchie (guitar) is the guitarist and singer of the Wisdoom, Matt (bass) and Mudd (drums) come from Dianetica, where they played guitar and voice (Matt) and drums (Mudd); Touis (voice) is the only one who hadn't have a band for a long time before Beesus.
There was also a bass player before, whose name was Dave, but he unfortunately left quite immediately and so Matt moved from guitar to bass guitar. Most of all is a great work and a very groovy sound constellation.

...grande cojones...

 GRAND SELMER
 SWEDEN
   Stoner/Psych

Them motherfuckers they want your blood?

That was the question the band Grand Selmer asked when they woke up one early morning in December 2009 in a shitty apartment in Berlin. After a while they came to the conclusion it was not a question but a statement and decided to record an album instead…
After half a year with Currywurst, Weiβbier and touring throughout Germany they went back to their roots in Gothenburg, Sweden. They started to perfect the ideas and influences they collected in the past year to record the album “Though Day of Relief” in April 2011.

Personally i would describe the sound of Grand Selmer as a mix of  Q.O.T.S.A., Dessert Sessions, Eagles of Death Metal, Haiabusa and Steaming Satelittes. Their root is stonerrock but on their album
you can hear kind of punk-, indie- or doomparts too, which makes the music probably suitable for a bigger target group. But listen to it and decide on your own if you like it!

Jonatan Dencker – Vocals, Guitar
Pontus Robertson – Vocals, Drums
Hannes Waernelius – Bass, Vocals
Fredrik Wessberg – Guitar, Vocals

Guest Artists:
Per Ståhlberg (DOLL), Tony Jelencovich (Transport Leauge, M.A.N, Icon in Me), Birger Löfman (Destiny, Fretless) and Kalle Lilja (Långfinger).
