...from the land of the cojones...

Voodoo Mule
Stoner Rock
Croatia

A hybrid with an error, a not so clever idea gone worse, a menace that bucks you off with a hint of voodoo from under a top hat black... With a hint of sugar, spice and everything nice, that is how this sonic behemoth came about.
The idea behind Voodoo Mule was a simple one, no indie, just loud and filthy. These are the secret ingredients that bond together an ensemble of three with Hippopotamus on drums, Iguana on bass, and Jagnje on guitar and vocals.

This is the form in which we`ve been working since March 2010 and performing since February 2011. We made our first recordings in February 2011 when we immortalized our first three songs that formed our first officially unofficial demo that bloggers labeled it to be stoner rock. Since then we have covered our homeland Slovenia throughout and our hometown Ljubljana several times as well, with disturbingly loud riff driven rock shows. Just couple of highlighted shows were at Festival Lent, Paranoid Piknik Open Air, Metal Mania Open Air and supporting bands like Count Raven, Karma To Burn, Pagan Altar, Jucifer, Suuns, Rozbub and many many many more.

get it for a kiss here

Our plans for the future are as simple as the basic idea that holds us together, play loud, play out, stay filthy and respect your roots.

"Voodoo Mule are full of energy and power, hard hitting toms and trashy drum work on and on...great desert riding riffs surround smooth and organic solo parts and other effect walls who makes the sound complete...the vocals are behind the music like on a old kyuss record, i think that the sound on this record sound's like the coming Vista Chino album...raw, dirty and played with sand filled tube amps!!! That's the spirit of the whole stoner rock network...Thumb up!!!"

...dutch darkness...

GEISER
Post-Harcore/Sludge/Psych
Nijmegen

Desolate,Doom, Noise, Psychedelic, Hardcore, Rock Pussies, Misantrophic, Quintet, Brick Wall Of Sound, Arnhem, Nijmegen, Weird-Bearded, Riff-Oriented, Dutch, Booty-Shaking, UFO-Sound-Scaping, Cockballs, Rust Covered Wreckage Of One Long Lost Steamer Boat Since 2010.
Geiser is a heavy psychedelic rock quintet hailing from The City Region of Arnhem-Nijmegen in the Netherlands.

Geiser is not suited for the faint-hearted; Big contrasts in both volume and pace, devastating riffs, trashing drums, vocals drenched in stomp-box effects and an intense liveshow keep audiences on edge.Combining elements of doom, noise, sludge, stoner, postrock and -metal this five-piece has lovingly labeled their style of music 'post-cock-noise'.

Without even a proper demo recording, Geiser has managed to be seen live on stage since early 2010 and quickly built up local renounce. Highlight so far has been a support slot for A Place To Bury Strangers in Nijmegen “Rock-City”s legendary club “Doornroosje”. Yet numerous other sweaty shows in smaller venues testify to what Geiser does best; building steam in the darker crevices of the underground.Bipolar, Geiser’s “5 songs in half an hour of heaviness” debut-EP, will be available as both digipack and vinyl at live shows since 2012. With this first release, Geiser will start working on expanding its territory; looking very much forward to playing shows and spreading “Bipolar” outside its home country’s boundaries.

get this heavy shit here

"This dutch guys rock the juice out of your ears...fat groovy riffs...downtuned and deep...
creepy and noisy voice from Kars Penninx. Really good sound and very varied songwriting...there are heavy parts which are strongly reminiscent of Danzig, Crowbar...Post/Psych Parts like Pelican, Russian Circles or the greek Last Rizla.
Hear the feelings in the voice on "Weightless", the groove and the sickness on "Paragon".
In all a very successful album from GEISER...'m just waiting for new material"

...hi mom...

 Mother of God
Stoner Metal
Woke up at dawn and felt a strong belief in nature spirits, looked out. Black shape. I went to the nearby forest and the journey had begun. Without a direct way, I went through the woods and crossed mountains. Suddenly elated by light, I was under the raven's wings. Numb. Awakened by a thud and the silhouettes of the three. Embrace..
The circle was complete.

Feel the mother here

"Mother of God...fuck what a good stuff...good overall picture, they rule with fat grooves and blasts, vocally parts also rock and sometimes you can hear the influence of bands like: Truckfighters, Dozer, Orange Goblin but also heavier styles like Black Pyramid or Planet of Zeus. Listen especially to "Blind Monkey" and "Ancient Tracks"...because its good for you!"

DESERT STORM
BURIED IN SMOKE RECORDS
Stoner Metal

UK stonerrockers Desert Storm boast gigantic riffs, sludge and blues grooves. Their recent release, Forked Tongues, features a vast dynamic range.
The five piece operation based in Oxford first formed in 2007, hitting the local rock scene with full force. Now having torn up multiple cities across the UK and festivals such as the mighty Bulldog Bash; on top of playing with the likes of Orange Goblin, Taint, Weedeater, Zoroaster, CKY, Winnebago Deal, Firebird and Black Spiders they're well underway spreading the NOISE.

'Desert Storm come on like the much-missed Four Horsemen on Forked Tongue, that's true.. It’s stoner rock, but with a real biker groove, and songs doused in testosterone and then set on fire...hell yes!.'

"Forked Tongues scores with a lot of groovy stoner metal riffs and a juicy energetic sound,
the mixture of the acoustic and hard and rough songs remind me sometimes on:
Clutch, Down, Seemles, Demonic Death Judge or Rocketchief...

Nasty Sludge

Cultura Tres
Venezuela
South American sludge/ doom/ psychedelic

Now hailed as the national rock/sludge pride of Venezuela, Cultura Tres came from
far. With the first EP "Seis" (2007) the band already outgrew the South American
continent. But only after releasing debut album "La Cura" in October 2008, the
band started to get noticed worldwide. During the preceding year of rigorous
composing, Cultura Tres incorporated many influences into their sound, ranging from
sludge to doom metal and from death metal to classic rock.
Important magazines in Europe and Japan praised “La Cura” for its dark and
original music, and Metal Hammer magazine even selected Cultura Tres as the
month's global discovery. The release tour took the band for 18 months across
Europe, South America and to the first well-received shows in Japan. During that
period the band also released three video clips that gained them a world-wide cult
following in the underground doom & sludge scene (for example being featured band
on Doom Metal Alliance, Stonerrock.com and HeavyPlanet.com).
In the summer of 2010 the members locked themselves up in the studio to prepare
the second album: “El Mal del Bien”. The result is - in the band members’ own
words - “an album with a single clear direction”. Cultura Tres delves deeper into
the dark atmospheric vein that already showed itself at moments in debut album
La Cura. The daring album opener “Propiedad de Dios” sets the mood: it sounds like
the soundtrack of a tragic cult movie. The songs that follow evoke the witchery,
slavery, oppression and religious madness that influence the South American
continent to this day. Being a concept album adds another dimension to the
individual songs. A patient listener will be dragged into a hallucinating trip around
the insane world the album paints.

The Artwork the whole album concept is very awesome....dark and nasty, great work and really angryfucked up sludge/doom/stoner with a touch of Soulfly and Trash influence from this nice dudes, in future I can imagine in CULTURA TRES and i hope i can see them sometimes live, i want to know how the sound live works. Respect and honor to this band...so get the great album "El Mal del Bien" ...because its good for you!!!

...elvis is back again...

ELVIS DELUXE
Warsaw, Poland
stoner rock/psychedelic/garage

In 2002 four long-time friends who had been involved in different
bands (mostly HC/post HC/rock stuff like Ahimsa, Coalition, Afraid of
That Day) started to jam together playing what they had a great
affection for their entire lives: ‘70s-influenced stoner rock.

In 2003 they recorded a demo which turned out to be pretty popular
among the slowly growing breed of their fans. Soon they became one of
the most active Warsaw bands, crossing all the genres and being
present at different types of shows from punk rock to rock’n’roll to
hardcore and rocking the nights out like crazy. Every once in a while
they hit the road to gig Poland, Lithuania, Germany, ending up in some
Czech clubs, making a nice soundtrack to bar fights there. Easy going
dudes took it easy. It took them a while to record their very first
full length, but when they did, it turned out to be really worth
waiting for. The record was called “Lazy” (2007) and well... it really
was. The title illustrated Elvis’ attitude towards the so-called
reality and their music.

The world rolled on, the boys played more gigs (sharing the stage
with, among others, Karma to Burn, Jucifer or Parkway Drive) and
finally there came the time to reveal what was going on in their
heads. On “Favourite State of Mind” the sound is full of space,
stylish and the non-obvious guitars are accompanied by multi-layered
vocals. Inspirations ranged from The Who, David Bowie, T. Rex to
Turbonegro and some more recent swampy stuff from the US. The band
employed unconventional recording techniques and sound experiments
that could give certain purists a nervous drool. Elvis Deluxe applies
a strong rock’n’roll punch to your jaw that will make you hear colours
and see the divine beauty of their music.

After the record was finished, the line-up changed slightly – Mechu
was replaced on guitar by Bert Trust. This old mate of Elvis’ used to
play in Warsaw stoner bands Castor Fiber and Oregano Chino, which
makes him a perfect fit for Elvis Deluxe in terms of fascination with
roots rock and dirty sound. The dudes have charisma and have the
skills and even though they’re taking it easy, they take it seriously.
The years of long going friendship and jamming together made them only
tighter and hungrier for good shows and the road adventures. They will
roll slow and if you stand on their way... well, you can be sure to
roll with them...

Extraterrestrial Hideout Seeker

Elvis Deluxe is:
Bert Trust - guitar
Bolek - guitar
Miko - drums
Ziemba - bass/vocals

"Fast forward stoner rocking songs with great song ideas and really fuzzy tuned,
"Lazy" is a very colored album, acid punk meets psych and stoner....sometimes like Q.O.T.S.A or Fu Manchu. "Favourite State of Mind" have more psych and comes with big solos and really good songs...that's the album what i prefer, a band with a hopeful future."

...twins from outta space...

Phoenix/Arizona
Sludge/Stoner/Psych

Twin Giant: formed in the Spring of 2010 to fulfill the band members' desire to play loud-as-shit droney music. The band is currently getting shows booked , drinking, blowing out their eardrums, and saving up to record an EP.

Their own opinion:
"Songs about being accidentally shot out into space on a giant garbage barge because y'all was sleeping in a pile of garbage when the tractor beam picked y'all up by mistake."
I share this opinion, a bitchy dirty sound, doomy riffs, strange temps and awsome
psychy smooth parts shake your brains and let rotate your ears.
Enjoy TWIN GIANT and prey for a life gig in your country...i think live its incredible feeling...

..new vintage stereo rock...

LORD STEREO
Poland
vintage heavy rock

Lord Stereo's music can be described in three words:

VINTAGE - like the postcards and photos from the late sixties and
early seventies, full of melancholy and longing for the times of
rebellion and carelessness. With a psychedelic sound of Hammond organ
and a dirty, unruly guitar clatter in the background.
HEAVY - like a burden of sadness and anger that has accompanied us in
music for generations, like the intensity of emotions.
ROCK - because as a band we belong in a great music drawer of this
genre's numerous influences, where the Stooges are mixed with Black
Sabbath and early Led Zeppelin with the 1960s garage punk rock.

Natural eclecticism, stemming from the diverse characters and
inspirations of the band members, emotionality and simplicity are the
key features of Lord Stereo. The band is formed by people known from a
variety of alternative groups such as The Black Tapes, Oregano Chino,
Vavamuffin, Pablopavo i Ludziki, the Monsters from Switzerland, Poker
Face or Capital.

Lord Stereo is:
Leon RUDE PERCUSSION
Kazan SPACE TRASH GUITAR
Raff PRIMITIVE CRAMP BASS

...because everyone would go to church...

Doom/Sludge
Ireland

Weed Priest - 3 piece band based in Galway and Ennis, Ireland. They like
to call their music occult stoner doom but they hope not to be definable
by a particular genre. I think its Doom/Sludge and a littlebit of Noise....that's the Stonerhead's Justice. They have been working on their original material for
over 2 years and now they started to be more active with gigging and
looking for a record label to sign with.

11 songs available for download on this nice links down the text. The Demo includes "Final Spell, Thy Kingdom Gone, Sky Daddy". The other 8 songs are the unreleased bonus tracks for free on my site...enjoy this sick Occult/Doomshit.

...who let the dogs out....

ITALY
GO DOWN RECORDS
Stoner/Psych

Simone "Sabbath" of UNDERDOGS wite me, and so i will proudly present his great
italian band, nowofficial  on my blogsite.Dark and deliberate elements of THE MELVINS and FU-MANCHU round out this robust sound creating a solid musical foundation to pleasure your earholes. From start to finish every song is a hit. Every glorious chord, every single note. Enjoy bio, video and the download.
Have Fun!

If you want to listen to their shit you can try here:

Once in a great while, a band comes along that sets itself apart from the rest. With the recent explosion of independent music this becomes an even more difficult task.
As rock bands evolve and develop a more technical and refined sound, it becomes increasingly necessary to sonically "strike hard and fast" and leave your listener "hooked and begging for more. Powerful and versatile trio inspired by the "desert rock", supported by GoDown Records and formed in 2004. They already occupy a respectable place in the Italian underground, thanks to a lot of granitic & wild r'n'roll gigs all over Italy (and not only..), supporting international cult bands such as Nebula, Josiah, Colour Haze, OJM, Joe Lalli (Fugazi), The Answer, Brant Bjork (Kyuss), and many more!! The lucky debut album "Ready to burn" was released in 2007 for GoDown Records, followed in 2009 by an E.P. unplugged "Dogs without plugs".After one year away from the scene for recording the new album & changing drummer, on summer 2011 they are ready to come back and strike again.
This sophomore album "REVOLUTION LOVE" follows-up right where the "Dogs" left off with (“Ready to burn” – GoDown Records 2007). Long-time dynamic duo Simone (bass&vox) and Michele (guitars) have joined forces with new drummer (Alberto Trevisan) and this super-union of rock-and-roll power is a force to be reckoned with! The new album you can buy here.

In the meantime you can download the unplugged album

A night of crazy stonersound, big balls and a lot of banana-beer happened Friday night in Freisitz (Hallein, Austria). "I NO SEAS" here
The nice loacation was  very welcoming as always and the beer tasted very well that day.
The mood became even better when the first band entered the stage.
The five guys from Austria, Hubi, Woifi, Aki, Rudl and max ...stoned the crowd and really rocked the house. If you like to buy the album, write them on myspace. After ten minutes of break they came back with even more force and energy. The dancing mascot and the great stage light effects ruled the place and a few bananasongs later, Cojones from croatia started.... to blow our heads into space. an energetic show, hard riffs, aggressive vocals and excellent percussion work. After that great show...and a short break ... the guys from 1000mods began to play.
it was already half past one in the morning and unfortunately we noticed that the crowd became less...
but that did not disturb the remaining people..despite the fact that there was some free space they started a successful and great final act of this awesome stonernight. I've snapped some photos there, and if you like them you can download them here.
Here are some of the collection...
