¡PENDEJO! is a four-piece heavy rock band from the Netherlands, founded by two cousins with a history in Latin America. Digging into their latino roots, El Pastuso and Jaap ‘Monchito’ Melman started blending heavy riffage, pounding drums, right-in-your-face lyrics in urban Spanish about the weirdest stories in life, and to top it all off, a screaming trumpet.
"Do you like something different and special? So Pendejo will make you happy because this dudes are straight from Amsterdam and do a very mixed and interesting sound. I played with them in Schongau (Dutch & European Stoner Rock) and i have to say that this band is fucking awesome. Frontman El Pastuso does a very good job, he is a great entertainer and makes a roofburning mood on stage. The spanish language caughts the certain extra for the band and makes it unique. Also his companjos do a great job and so the whole sound on the album and also on stage comes fat and mighty. "Atacames" brings you a handful of brilliant songs and the whole length of the record contains one hard riff after another. My favorite songs are: "Hermelinda" , "Dos" , "El Verano del 96" and "El Jardinero". For me the album is a masterpiece and doesn't need a warm up time. From the first second till now i'm simply delighted with it. Thumb up!"
HIPOXIA was born in Madrid in 2009 when JK, E, and K pooling his music interests and started to play and drink beer together.
In summer 2010 Hipoxia published their first reference: "Doomrehearsal". As the name suggests, it is a 40 minutes rehearsal with three songs full of hateful and filthy doom/sludge/drone with black metal and punk influences. That year, the band began to play live. The debut live was in 2010 december with Dispain. Since that moment, Hipoxia has shared the stage with bands like Monkeypriest, Reznik, Ali Agca, Iron Batasuna or ROLF.
In 2011, the band recorded a new 40 minutes record, but after many misunderstandings with the producer and a change in the band line-up (O. S. entered as the new bassist in october 2011), Hipoxia decided to record again the recording, the three old songs from "Doomrehearsal" and a new track, this time recorded and mixed at Mantis Studio by F. Trych and V. Brown and produced by F. Trych, V. Brown and Hipoxia.
In 2012 21th september Hipoxia published that re-recording, called as the band, in cd format and limited to 500 copies, through three labels: Le Crepuscule du soir, Strange Records and Féretro Records. More than 50 minutes of nihilistic and misanthropic doom. Hatred made noise. Hipoxia.
" Hipoxia from spain makes a very spooky music and i love it. Long song's, dark atmosphere and a angry vocal work. Get your doom out of your ass and listen to Hipoxia...and don't forget to take your anti depressiva pills befor listen to it...doom on!!!"
Formed in 2010, Garüda is a band that takes its sound from different styles like stoner or sludge, but always with an eye on progressive and heavy music.
Garüda's first EP was 'Labyrinths of Stone', a first aproach of the band in the quest for it's own sound. For this work Garüda had the collaboration of sound engineer Billy Anderson (Melvins/Sleep). Later on, this album got out as a digital-free download edition.
Next step for the band was thinking on a new project. Finally, in the summer of 2012, Garüda decided to get back to the studio with the technician Ruben Durán and record its next proyect, a split record with their band friends Blooming Látigo. For this new record Garüda has performed 'Raven Prayer' a 12 minutes trip through darkness and luminiscent stages, an eternal search between arcane formula and pagan symbolism.
During this time Garüda had shared stage with bands like Mars Red Sky, Morne, Viaje a 800, Verdun, Your Hihgness, Athmaa, Blooming Látigo, Mentat, Mordida, Deviante, Louded....

Santa Rita is a band of sisters, if not by blood then certainly by bond.
Together now for close on five years their journey from Barcelona’s best kept secret to one of the city’s must see bands was bolstered back in 2011 with the release of their debut EP Santa Rita. A storming and stormy rock ’n’ roll riot of guitars and harried drums, wracked emotions and raucous onslaughts of noise. Taking their cue from some of rock’s more clandestine corners with groups such as Sleater-Kinney, Babes In Toyland, Seagull Screaming Kiss Her Kiss Her, Bangs, The Pillows, and Nirvana, recorded by Aloud Music Ltd label boss Sergio Picón it plotted a triumphant course for this, their first full length long player High On The Seas.
The band has never sounded more together than they do right here, best exemplified on opener ‘Báltico’; a building exchange of tune and tirade. A formula that runs throughout the album with quiet contemplations on love and life (‘Mar Muerto’, ‘Necochea’) broken up with heavy and passionate choruses. High On The Seas is the sound of Natalia Brovedanni (guitar/vocals), Martha Wood (bass/vocals, Ceci Diaz (lead vocals) and Laura Oliveras (drums) in their element. Produced by Santi Garcia (Toundra, Daniel Higgs, Tokyo Sex Destruction) and mastered by Victor Garcia at Ultramarinos the band remain as aggressive as ever but have recorded an album of unquestionable maturity, and fun. Locked into a schedule of relentless rehearsals and writing sessions – which tested both their personal friendships and musical talents – this is a more complete sound honed from their energetic live shows. The sound of four sirens taking shore leave to plug in, tune up and make waves.
With the album already released in their native Spain, High On The Seas gets an official UK release on 3 June and will add to a tremendous year that has seen the band pick up fans across Europe after an appearance at last year’s Primavera Sound.
"Whoopy Goldberg gets rivals...sister act once upon a time..now this female power combination of four sister's rock your socks of, check them out and give them a hugh!! Nice interesting tunes and a good album concept awaits us soon!"
A very intersting mix of doom, trash metal and driving stoner lick's, the voice of Max remind's me on the greece band LAST RIZLA or sometimes on the godfather of loudness Lemmy.
In total package very satisfactory, a good stuff to rock properly. Recommended songs: "Goatrider", "Sungrazing World", "Frozen Desert"

Stoner/Doom/Sludge
Madrid-based band, started in 2008. Original members were Oscar on drums, Alvaro - guitars, Rafael - vocals, and Jackie - guitars.
Started jamming and playing the first songs, called Pile Of Fortune, Gothic Cyborg, Shadow Witch, songs written by Oscar and Rafael who had the idea for the band since 2007.
The first collaboration with the rest of the band members were songs called Monster Dinner, Revenge , and Hardened.
The band recorded some demos in their rehearsal space to send to a festival, and later on edited these recordings with the title Death Flowers ( 2009).
Then Rafael left, and the band started writing songs in a different direction, perhaps a wider approach, some of them have remained instrumental, such as Holy Wall and Death Flower.
They invited Diego Birch to play bass, he stayed in the band until 2010.
As soon as the band found a new singer, they started rehearsing for the debut. Rolando Fernandez took the position and with him the band started playing around the Madrid venues. The debut show was on 14 April 2011 opening for La Dolorosa.
They kept on writing more songs, such as Supersun, Goliath and also found a new bass player, Gerald.
The band played with some other bands such as Cherry But No Cake (UK), Pura Muerte, Craneon, Teething, Dawn To Dusk, Orthodox, until the beginning of 2012.
Right before getting into the studio to do some good quality recordings, they decided to replace the singer, and called Fernando Polvaredo from local band Fungus to do the job.
They called this collection Hazy Blur Of Life, consisting of four songs, namely Pile Of Fortune, Goliath, MotherSloth and Supersun.
In the band's sound you can find several influences,70's inspired sounds combined with heavy guitar riffs and open chords, in order to give each song the sound it needs.
First band EP, released December 2012 via bandcamp.
"This 4 track piece of high quality stoner metal kicks ass and does not need to hide. MOTHERSLOTH focus on groove and hardening, the singing goes well with the entire.
Recommended songs: "Supersun", "Mothersloth"
Exciting and nightmarish moments are guaranteed, enjoy "Hazy Blur of Life" free on their bandcamp site..."
There's no doubt Rock is going through one his most sweet and sour times. Old rockers are dying, people steal the art of distortion and swank of it, and the venues fail because of the languish demand of Rock.
In front of this sad panorama, the most incredible thing is that more than ever, there's a whole generation commited to guitar and drums; new music is created, more labels are emerging and a small redoubt sticks loyal to the sound of a plugged in LesPaul.
GRASS is part of this generation.
GRASS is only 5 more people willing to move their asses, meet people, get in the van for unfinishing hours, bad eating, listen to Motörhead as loud as our health allows and applaud every human being moving and singing in the crowd.
Globalization and modern life made posible to us having a wide range of influences, with no specific order: Led Zeppelin, tobacco, Black Sabbath, Ron & Cola, the pengüins, Bar Angel in Masnou town, Kim Jong Il, Jimi Hendrix, Sheer Terror, Clint Eastwood, mate herb….
"When you look at this great coverart you think you will hear soon a standard stoner band but its a real blast of good choice...they create their own sound and kicks ass...enjoy this first four track demo of freshest and juiciest green grass...
Arenna was born in Basque Country in 2005. His style can be included inside the so called Stoner Rock, though they prefer being defined as lovers of the heavy riffs. In 2007 they edit a demo and in this 2011 they will return to edit what will be his first album "BEATS OF OLARIZU"
"This Dudes from the French/Spain Border know how to create a big smashing wall of sound with great psychedelic parts and a great spectrum of a lot other genres...enjoy it!!!"
